Yucky Scalp? Remove Product Build-Up with Clarifiers

Caked Product on my Hair
Flakes from Caked Product on my Hair

Has your hair ever felt overly greasy?

Do you wash your hair so infrequently that when wash day arrives you have product residue on your scalp and caked butters and oils on your strands?

Have you used multiple products during a styling session in order to make your hair achieve a certain look or feel, and while your style may have been on point, in the end you’re left with white flakes?

Other contributions to build up on your scalp include environmental pollution, hard water, regular use of shampoos and other hair styling gels, sprays, etc.

At Home Facial: Honey Turmeric Bentonite Clay

Sunday was beauty day; while I waited for my hair to deep condition, I decided to give myself a complete spa day by doing a facial at home.

There are many ingredients in your kitchen which can be used for a facial; below, I list my ingredients and why I choose to use them:

  1. 2 tbsp Bentonite Clay: Absorbs toxins, draws out blackheads, kills acne-causing bacteria, anti-aging benefits, exfoliates the skin (Don’t use metal bowls or utensils when mixing bentonite! It affects the composition and reduces its effectiveness)

Beauty Day Sunday, Featuring Rhassoul Clay

Hello Beautiful :)

I started this week off the right way and my hair thanked me!

I tried Rhassoul clay for the first time, and it’s definitely a keeper!

IMG_1475_Clay0After much research, I decided to give Rhassoul clay a try. I used a basic recipe of:

1/4 oz Liquid (Water or Aloe Vera Juice)

1/2 oz Rhassoul Clay

2 tbsp Oil (Optional)

I experimented this weekend with a few herbs that are great for moisture and growth. Horsetail, Burdock Root, Irish Moss, Marshmallow Root, Rose Petals. Check out the second photo in the slideshow to see my natural hair brew!
