So you’ve just gotten a fresh tapered cut; you look and feel ah-mazing!  Fast forward a week or more and you and you’re hair need an intervention! Tapered cuts are stylish and easy to manage and maintain. They can be cut different lengths to achieve a unique look for the wearer. This may become an issue for those new to styling shorter strands. Check out the eye candy! Afro textured hair is so versatile; it’s one of my favorite things about having this texture. At different states, wet, dry, product, no product, the hair can take on a different appearance.

Happy New Year Curl Friends! Welcome to 2013!

As with every new year, my personal resolution is to become better; smarter, more kind, more tolerant, patient, and to love better.

This is the beginning of my first year fully natural.

This Sunday was my first Beauty Day Sunday and as I sat with my clay wash, I decided to plan a few hair goals for myself.

I Did It! Red Copper Streaks

So I’ve been away for about a month and I have a bit of catching up to do!

My Color: Red Copper by Creme of Nature

First on the list is my color.  I’ve had it for about 3 weeks now. When I visited home, my BFF (who’s a professional cosmetologist) streaked my hair for me.

I needed two color applications to complete my entire head of streaks

 After the color was applied to my hair, I sat under the dryer with a plastic cap to let the color marinate, so to speak :)
