How I’m Wearing My Hair In Korea

Protective Styling in Korea

Quick Post! Here in Dongducheon, Korea, it’s Monday 2:24 am…while back in the states, it’s Sunday, 1:24 pm…I’m up so I decided to post a few quick hair related thoughts 🙂

  • I’ve been exclusively protective styling because it’s convenient to just wake up and go, rather than to have to do my hair
  • Before I left, all I had time to do was re-moisturize my hair; I used a mixture of H2O, Aloe Vera Juice, a bit of Glycerin, and Rosemary, Orange, and Grapefruit EOs, which is a bit different then my usual re-moisturizing spray, which included Infusium 23 Leave-In conditioner. I will very likely continue to use this because after a week, my hair is STILL moisturized and feels like silk!
  • The Americans who are stationed here, and have been there for a few years haven’t really seen Natural hair and don’t know about the movement towards it in the states…I’ve received quite a few compliments :). One guy didn’t even know what to call my hair LOL, but he said he liked how “I wore my hair with the natural look”. During that time, my co-worker, who is Vietnamese, was standing nearby asked if it was hard to maintain so I had to explain to them all that it takes time to learn how to do anything, and once you do, it’s all good!

That’s all for now…I will post more pictures later 🙂
